Starting each morning with a cup of green tea can help you lose weight. Green tea helps boost your metabolism. You can burn 80 extra calories a day simply by adding green tea to your diet. It is a substance called catechins that is responsible for the weight loss effects of green tea. If you don't like the taste of green tea, you can buy green tea extract to get the catechins that you desire. Be sure to read the ingredients and label before you purchase any supplement. Also green tea is light in caffeine when compared to a drink like coffee, but since there is caffeine, don't count green tea as part of your daily water intake.
