-- any sweets "three in one" ("three in one" is a dessert, where there are three ingredients together: flour, sugar, fat);

-- smoked products (smoked sausages, smoked meat, smoked fish);

-- lard, fat meat, chicken skin, chicken legs (whole), fat kinds of cheese.

The Dancer's DietBefore you begin a ballet dancer’s diet you need to spend two fasting days to achieve greater efficiency. Then begin to keep a diet. It can be repeated several days, until you reach the desired effect.

The first fasting day:
Breakfast: a glass of tomato juice.
Lunch: 2 cups of tomato juice and a piece of black bread.
Supper: a glass of tomato juice.

The second fasting day:
Breakfast: a glass of milk or yogurt.
Dinner: a cup of yogurt and a piece of black bread.
Supper: a glass of milk or a glass of kefir.

Menu of ballerina’s diet

Breakfast: some non-fat cottage cheese and a glass of warm skimmed milk or yogurt.

Second breakfast: a cup of coffee, a piece of bread with butter, a teaspoon of honey.

Dinner: a tablespoon of boiled rice, drink one cup of broth and eat a small piece of meat.

Snack: an orange or an apple.

Supper: two hours before bedtime drink a glass of warm milk or yogurt with one teaspoon of honey.

The Dancer's DietWe always admire the slim figures of ballet dancers. It’s easy for you to have such figure too. The only thing is to follow basic rules of the diet for ballet dancers.

1. One helping of food should be divided into 2 meals.

2. Soups are considered as a separate dish, so they can not be combined with any other food.

3. You can not combine fish and meat in one meal, because they contain a heterogeneous protein.

4. You should consume dairy products with low fat content. Choosing milk and dairy products you should prefer standardized milk and if you have a possibility, dilute it with ice.

5. Factory-made mayonnaise should be excluded from the ration. If you can’t find forces to abandon it, you should prepare mayonnaise at home by yourself. It will be without the yolks and salt and with the addition of 1/3 non-fat yogurt.

6. It is important not to use salt in cooking, and try to replace it with fresh herbs or soy sauce.

7. You should drink 1,5-2 liters of non-carbonated mineral water. Drink water no less than 30 minutes before meal and at least 1 hour after meal.

The Grapefruit Diet

Grapefruit is a hybrid shaddock and orange. This wonderful fruit grows in Mediterranean countries, Japan, China, South America and the Caucasus. The first mention of grapefruit refers to the 18th century, when British sailors came upon the strange trees with hanging fruits like grapes in Barbados. Citrus paradisi ("Citrus paradise") is the Latin name of grapefruit.

Grapefruit has the great chemical composition. This fruit contains 88,5-90,9% water, 3,8-6,78% sugar, 1,42-2,38% acid, essential oil, pectin, mineral salt, vitamin C (up to 45 mg), B1, D, and glycoside naringin. In the peel, which is up to 30-40% of the whole fruit’s weight, there are 9,19-19,04% pectic substances, essential oil and glycosides.

Grapefruit contains a special ingredient - naringin, which gives a bitter taste to the fruit and simultaneously quickens the process of digestion. Grapefruit stimulates the metabolism, and this leads to loss of unnecessary pounds.

The grapefruit diet will help you to lose extra 3-4 pounds. This diet lasts 7 days. In addition, it is one of the few diets, which can be kept in winter, because of the great amount of vitamins.

May be, you will manage to part with some extra kilos but your skin may turn dry, flabby so as your nails and your hair. Food is the source of vitamins and microelements for your body. Thus, starting a mono-diet, you deprive yourself of this source. Limitations can be made in consumption of fats, carbohydrates, calories and even in the quantity of food. But despite all this, your nourishment, though, should not be monotonous.

Choose pickled cabbage (without vinegar), citruses, green vegetables and fruits. Ferro is longer preserved in apples. The source of vitamin C is not only citruses but also potatoes – both boiled and baked. Don’t forget about the principle of well-balanced nourishment: retain the sense of proportion.

What to remember:
To meat-eaters and vegetarians: If your food is deficient in proteins then vitamins are not digested properly. If your food is, on the contrary, overloaded with proteins, then splitting and utilization of proteins will require more of vitamin B6, which is also very bad, because vitamin B6 regulates the amino acids exchange.

To those who love fatty food: Much fat in your food lowers synthesis of vitamin B2 in the small bowel.

To those who has sweet tooth: Large amount of carbohydrates requires more vitamin B1.

Moreover, unlimited consumption of poly-vitamins can lead to immune instability. So don’t be surprised to have allergic reactions. Try to take vitamins apart from each other. Take vitamin A for a week, and then have an interval. Then take vitamin from group B. In ten days change the vitamins again – take vitamin C. Of course, you will need more concentration for this and although following this scheme is much more laborious, at the same time it is better for your health.

However, most of nutritionists say that there is no tactics useful to everyone. The point is to understand your strengths and weaknesses and build the strategy suitable only for you. If you can’t cope with keeping moderation, it is better not to have harmful products at home. Other people are fully capable to put favorite products in small quantities in their diet; it helps them not suffering from overeating.

We can suggest the following strategy to those who want to find their "golden mean":
• If you are not able to completely give up eating your favorite product, let yourself eat just one small portion a day. Try not to exceed the limit of 200-300 calories.
• If you love something so much and it always leads to overeating, let yourself eat it only once a week.
• Keep only one kind of favorite food at home: it may be candy, ice cream or crisps. You can’t help eating it just when you look at product; it doesn’t worth saying about keeping a lot of harmful products at home!
• Do not hurry. Eat each piece slowly savoring its taste to satisfy psychological hunger.
• Do not take some liquid after your favorite product in order to enjoy the taste completely.

But what if you have already overeaten?
• If you exceed your calorie limit, do not starve the rest of the day. The feeling of hunger is fraught with new overeating and a slowdown in metabolism. At night it’s better to have a snack that is rich with protein and contains no fat: fatless cheese, lean meat with vegetables, fruit. Drink more liquids; herbal tea or mineral water is the best; enough liquids helps digestion and speed up the metabolism needed for burning fat.
• Eat more fiber. Products rich with fiber are usually low-calorie but they delay an attack of feelings of hunger and help to bring the slag out of your body.
• You should do gymnastics that day by all means, or extend your normal complex of daily exercises. Living activities will not only reduce the feelings of guilt but also burn some extra calories.

Some dietitians give us recommendations not to keep our favorite food at home to avoid unnecessary temptations. Others, conversely, give us advice not to reject it, because the total giving up only heats the desire. The truth is somewhere half way along as always.

Tactics 1. "Out of sight - out of mind"
For majority of people, such tactic works best: if we have no favorite but the harmful product at our hands, the chances not to eat or at least temporarily replace it with less caloric products are increasing. If we have chocolate or potato crisps at hand all the time and while opening the kitchen cupboard we always flash on them, so the temptation to eat for at least a bit is hard to fight. Having begun it is almost impossible to stop. If you should go for the chocolate bar in the shop, and in bad weather, these efforts help to overcome. In addition, vision plays a large part in a psychological hunger. A primary role of the matter how much food you eat at one scoop often depends on how much food you have in front of you. Researches have shown that blindfolded people eat much fewer calories than people in normal circumstances.

So the tactics "out of sight - out of mind" does not mean total rejection of a beloved product. Index is to determine for yourself the amount of product and circumstances under which you allow yourself to enjoy them. It is much easier to control portion size and frequency of use. If you decide that once a week you can afford to go to a cafe, or eat a piece of cake, drinking tea with a friend, then try to abide by your decision. A mature approach provides a reasonable, responsible nutrition, the ability to recognize the feeling of satiety, the feeling of real hunger and distinguish it from the mental hunger, the ability to determine the size of portions and the ability to consciously refuse harmful or high-calorie meal.

Each of us is simultaneously "a child" who wants to eat so much favorite food how much he wants, and "an adult" who prohibits him from doing so. To satisfy "a child" we must have access to his favorite food and the opportunity to have it when he wants. But we need the process of absorption of favorite product not to be accompanied by excess weight and a sense of guilt, so "an adult" inside us must keep in mind about self-discipline and be able to control the consumption of food.
